I’ve seen the video on how to replace the air bag; I know I have to disconnect the battery to do it.

what about immobilizer issues once the battery is reconnected? Will there be a problem?

I’ve done airbags with no issues & once out on a trail I even removed it dangerously without removing the battery (dude never disconnected the battery like I asked...)

Disconnect the battery, wait maybe 5min or hold the + & - together for a few seconds. Then simply unplug and remove it.
