Default DiscoII Key Fob Barcode

I asked a couple folks about this privately, but I'd like to get other opinions.

This is the key and code I got for my 2002 Disco. It is a 315mhz key, and my RF test on the Nanocom recognizes it and my original key. Problem is, I think the barcode is messed up? It shouldn't have two letters, NC? Maybe I'm wrong.

I get it synced, but not detected by the ECU.

Anyone in the US receive a code like this? It's from ebay seller.
Thx

Nanocom uses the 6-digit code. The 6-digit code is usually stuck on the small circuit board inside the key fob casing.

Be careful with the ebay folks. Some of them say they are 315mhz but they are actually 433mhz. I have yet to find a new 315mhz on ebay. Most are used.

I thought the RF Test would confirm it's 315mhz? But that would make sense if I can't get it to detect.

I went through the same thing. I am willing to bet if you open it up and you'll see on the chip it says 433mhz.

I pretty much ordered a cheap fob of every ebay vendor last week out of curiosity. All said 315mhz yet none would program using a nanocom.
They all shared the same generic non valeo inner board, no number inside on chip, although it seems the 6 digit number usually on the chip is also in the 1st barcode number. Guessing they are all actually 433mhz.

1 cheap fob yet to show up has the valeo board pictured so ill see what shows up whenever it does.

As of now i have a genuine new oem key on the way and the used guts from another, hoping they both program up no problem. 🙏

Pretty much think all aftermarket D2 keys on Ebay are basically a scam. Luckily returns were easy enough.

Looking forward to the verdict!

Well 0 of 5 Ebay cheap key fobs would be detected when it came down to it on the Nanocom. Same experience with a locksmith buddy using the complete barcodes. So seems Ebay type cheap keys are a NoGo for 315Mhz Discos anyhow.
I must be a sucker for pain but wanted to try.

Still have 1 on the way that has not shown up yet was 30 Bucks and pictured a Valeo board.

Fob #6 above showed up. Completely different than the listing pictured. Same junk board the others had. Figured it would be but hey.
Mass ebay returns for me this week lol.

Used Genuine Valeo guts from a fob Synched right up and were detected 1st try.
