Post Discovery 2 No 'Fuel / Crank No Start

Hello all, I have a 2002 Discovery 2. It cranks but will not start. Spraying starter fluid past the MAF will get it to turn over and run for a second. I replaced the Crank Position Sensor, tested the fuel pump and it seems to be working, checked the inertia switch, fuel pump fuses and relay. Trying to figure out where to look next to track down the problem.

The truck was running fine, possibly ran out of gas and then this problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

UPDATE... I connected a pressure gauge to the schrader valve. With the key in the ON position I get no fuel pressure. Used a wire to jump the fuel pump and run it "manually" and I get 5psi on the fuel rail with the fuel pump running that way.

So, my assumption is that the fuel pump is good but something is keeping the truck from sending power to the fuel pump.

Also I should note that it still will not start even with the fuel pump "jumped" and running like this. Which leads me to believe that whatever is keeping power from the fuel pump is also preventing it from starting.

You should be getting around 55psi with the pump running. With the key in the on position the pump does not run continuously. It will come on for a few seconds and then turn back off until the engine is running.

Alex is right, you don't have enough fuel pressure. You need a different pump
