Discovery 2 sluggish
Sorry for the late response but after getting life back in order and back on my diso I finally figured out what it was, I swapped back to stock tire size and that helped, then I did a smoke test again and noticed it coming from the throttle body, and the servo connector. I replaced both exhaust flange gaskets, put a new throttle body on and fixed the servo connector... uh yea it made a big difference! I can tell climbing hills that it holds speed and doesn't down shift anymore and if I'm on the right hill it will gain speed. I can now pull my inclosed 12ft trailer 70mph on minor hills and it pulls hard now!. Thank you so much for all the help. And if anyone is stumped and online searching for a motor vibration, in park my girlfriends diso II had a vibration at 1100 rpm and at 2200 rpm and at wot it sounded like it was gonna come apart! So I removed the inspection plate on the bottom of the bellhousing and looked at the torque converter bolts and they have backed out, you can see where the square nuts that the bolt screws into has been sliding back and forth and has made the metal peel up on both sides and theres a small gap where the plate presses againts the converted housing. I'm going to drop the oil pan and tighten them up to see if it goes away and I'll let y'all know how it goes. I hope this helps someone out in the future, but being the bolt heads have pressure marks from the wrong size socket being used previously I can tell someone else worked on it and you never know what you'll find!.
Ok so I did look through the hole you showed and I checked all 4 bolts and there torqued to spec, so I'm still stumped on the vibration at 1100 and 2200. I would LOVE to think it's the harmonic balancer but I dont think I'll be that lucky.
