the code ran something along the lines of fuel exhuast pressure low... I cant recall exactly, but that's what the man at the shop suggested, and sure enough, it went away with a new cap. I am curious about why the other's there tho. Also, it was suggested today that the problem could have been a computer-shutdown due to excess H20 in the air intake, that then evaporated after remaining in a hot engine compartment, along with the error. Is that possible?

water in your intake? how deep was this water???!!! sounds like someones giving you a run around... you have a transmission problem? you defiantly need to write the codes down and ask more detailed questions next time i bet disco mike knows whats going on though

~~~~when my check engine light comes on i stop right away and try my damnedest to find the problem, could save you alot of time and money. dI's have it a little easier with the on-board code display but still
That is where your 734 code comes in, 4 th gear out of ration, usually caused when the MAF is contaminated and beginning to fail.
Did your paper air filter get wet?
Driving through water the wrong way can suck water into the air intake and can stall the engine, not enough to hydrolock it but enough to stall it.
Yup. Air filter got wet. Not dripping, but damp enough. Seems that was probably the problem. The water was not nearly deep enough to cover the whole wheel well up to the intake but all terrains do tend to throw things. Anyhow, last question, assuming both codes were the result of agua in the intake, does that leave any serious issues i should know about?
Driving through water to fast you can suck water into the intake, it does not have to be deep enough to cover the intake, just a good splash in the right spot and you can stall, and when you are being chased by a mad man with a chain saw that is not a good thing.
Replace the air filter and clear the codes and wait and see.
