Default Discovery Issues

OK, another newbie here so please be kind. First off, great forum-seen a lot of great info on here. Now to the issue, I have a 95 Discovery 3.9L, 102K miles. Recently, we have had problems starting and whenever it's put into gear, the RPMs drop & it stalls or comes very close to stalling. I have cleaned the stepper motor, replaced plugs, ect with no changes. I personally think it's running rich, but have NO CLUE how to adjust it(no owners manual & waiting to receive my shop manual). Any ideas woudl be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Discovery Issues

running rich is probaly your O2 sensors. The rpm problem can easily be fixed at no cost by simply increasing your idle, i have same prob so i just increased my idle and dont have the prob any more, it has ran like this since around 150k miles and now im at just under 300k. Or if you wanna fix it for good it is probaly a vacuum problem check all the vacuum hoses, or possibly clogged injectors (run some injector fluid next time you fill up). Taht would be what i check first, it could probaly be several other things instead, The guy named NUX that post here alot would problay know exactly what the prob is, he seems to be the most educated mechanic on this site from what iv read (no offense to anyone else).
