Looking at trading my Wrangler for an 04 Discovery but have read comments concerning the steering column being very low. Do you guys have any problems with it? How tall are you?

I'm also aware of the mileage and maint. cost but is there anything else I should be aware of. Most of the industry reviews I have read have been pretty negative but everyone I know that has one loves it.

they are not refrencing the steering column being low, but rather the steering components under the vehicle being low, as in you could damage them if you bottom out while off roading.

 

I can't seem to find the review now... but it specifically metioned the steering column inside the car.

 

I'm 6'2 so i just move my seat all the way back plus i kinda tilt my seat a little downward works for me.

Is this the reviewer who said the Jeep Wrangler was still too close to it's roots.
Most reviews are anti SUV now . They want eveyone to drive Rav 4's and Crv's
the PC suv's.
