Do I sell my Disco?
My money says the OP never comes back to this thread - sounds like a troll to me.....
The idea that a 16 year old had that much money to sink into the truck plus repairs doesnt sound logical at all.
Especially given the choice of vehicle if there was that much money at his disposal.
Just my .02

The kids had everything handed to them since day #1.. the Dad used to brag about how "successful" both his kids were.... comparing them to other peoples kids their same age ... fact is those kids couldn't even wipe their asses unless someone bought em toilet paper .. the daughter was the biggest brat you ever seen in your life ... I lost it on her and gave em all a piece of my mind ...

Here is the complete and detailed list. This is minus all regular maintenance items such as oil, spark plugs and filter. Upstream O2 sensor, Downstream O2 sensor, Breakpad set, Expansion tank hose, Drive belt, updated right sensor, 8 fuel injectors, Power steering pump, camshaft position sensor, Idle air control valve, Starter, Alternator, front driveshaft, and Mass airflow sensor.
All this added up to be around $9,500 for parts and labor. Just got back the rover and she is purring.

No disrespect but 16 of those items you could have easily done yourself by googling the processes and saved a lot of money. But I'm a cheap bastard tho. lol
You and your dad have more money than brains. A fool and his money are easily parted.. Now that it's fixed you should keep it to get your money's worth. In the mean time, learn how to fix it yourself. It won't be the last time it needs service and it's the only way these trucks are worth owning. Or sell it to one of us; someone will be happy to have a repaired Rover, cheap. Or you could trade it for a fraction of what you have into it on something else that needs repairs. And if you're trolling us, go fak your hat.
I got it bad. My mechanic raised his price from $30 an hour to $35 an hour. For that price I don't like to get my hands dirty. Sometimes I feel a little left out so I do things myself for fun. The only bad part is that my mechanic is about 90 and a real grumpy bastard.
