Don't ever use seafoam in the oil. Use synthetic, or do an ATF flush.

 

Yes that's what I was told. Mike spelled out how to do the ATF flush. I will do that after a few hundred miles with this oil in it. Then I'll switch to synt. Thanks!

 

Update...

Just went to the supermarket and when I got back in the car and fired her up, the CE light did not come on anymore! I only drove about 10 miles since the foam treatment! That's one less worry... Engine sounds good and runs smooth!

 

I have about 30 miles nd still have the Service Engine Soon light. Hope minr goes out soon also!!! On the plus side, I have no oil drips on the drive since the flush aand change with Royal Purple.

I am one happy Disco owner... happier once the light goes out!

 

No worries, it should. I believe it takes a certain quantity of start cycles to reset.
