Door Locks, Windshield Wiper, and very slow Oil Leak Repairs

I got an estimate today from our local import specialist. Here it goes.....
1. Door Locks: Said I need a new door lock assembly to fix my problem. He said it would cost $300
2. Valve Cover Gasket: Said labor and gasket would cost $400. He said it will take him about 4 hours to complete and that it would no doubtstop the leak.

I had a good feeling after talking with these guys-they seemed like they really new their Rovers.
How do you guys feel about this? Am I crazy for letting them doing this at these prices?
