Drain Coolant from Water Pump Bolt?

Collie, can you please explain the appeal to you of draining the cooling system via the water pump bolt. As Best pointed out, the lower radiator hose is at a lower point in the system. Thanks.

Easier to get to, and easier to control the coolant flow. If you keep the coolant bottle cap on it comes out a bit, then not at all, then you unscrew, and bob's your uncle, here comes the coolant.

This is my first time with it, going to pick up a new bolt, the old is a bit haggard, and will report if it leaks at all.
