Default Drive shaft comparison

I'm ordering the terrafirma 3 inch lift this week and to go along with it I'm going to go ahead and get a good driveshaft. I've been looking at the Tom Woods which seems to be the way to go, but now bp of Utah has a new driveshaft they are selling for around $400, if I buy it off eBay it's $350 for whatever reason. Question is, which would I be better off with? They're both the double cardan but I just don't know anything about the one bp of Utah is selling now. Anyone know about them or have any other suggestions?

Tom Woods has a long respected reputation in the 4WD community, not just Rovers. FWIW
Probably the best waranty also.

I believe the one on BPUtah is a tatton drive shaft. I bought one on eBay a couple months back. No complaints. The quality is good, although I've never compared it to a Tom woods or anything. After install it runs smooth with no vibration. If you look on eBay you can get the same shaft that BPUtah is selling for $300 directly from Tatton. I've heard good things about ProShaft, but again I have no comparison. I think you'll be good with whichever one you choose.

Along with the 2 shafts mentioned, Great Basins Rovers has been building shafts for some 20 plus year and they offer 2, a standard duty which is much stronger the factory and a H.D. that is awsome.
These are by far the top 3 shafts on the market.

If you want more information on those shafts, give Bill a call, their number is on line.

I took Mikes advice and just bought the sandard duty shaft from Great Basin Rovers. It arrived a few days ago and I am installing it this week. I will let you know how I like it.

Remember to grease it prior to installing it.

Thanks Mike. The guy at Great Basin gave me the same advice.

The only other question I have with regard to the install is if you would recommend new hardware on either end. If the shaft fails I am not sure what part typically goes.

Any thoughts?
