Hello Land Rover Forums!

Long time no post... I've been busy graduating college, getting engaged, and starting a full time job. In that time, I've been pretty lucky to have minimal issues with the DII... until yesterday...

So for a few years, my key fob has not worked, so ive been operating the lock/unlock manually. My front locks have been showing signs of failings, but they still work, just slowly. Well... last night I went to unlock the driver door and I heard something that sounded like hardware or something fall inside the door. Now the lock will not spin and I cannot get inside the rover since I dont have an operating fob.

Has anyone ever heard of this happening? I cant find many relevant posts with solutions, so hoping someone has some advice. How can I get inside at this point to access the door panel? I hope a locksmith can do it, but if something broke and fell into the door, will the be able to pop the lock?? Any advice before calling a locksmith?

he'll be able to get in through windows an manually pull up the handle. They have a bunch of ways getting in. about the alarm etc, I don't know. I'd call them and start there. good luck.
