drivers side window wont go up
I recently bought a 97 discovery SE with 70500 miles. I am currently driving it back from cali to michigan. I'm stuck in denver right now with a window on the drivers side that wont go up. It is all the way down. I can still hear the motor working for both up and down functions. How hard of a fix is this? I looked through the service manual but am not sure that had what I was looking for. What will I expect to pay for something like this? I apologize if this has already been posted but I did not see the search option for these forums.
Thanks for any help, Andre

i had a glaslite that would charge me $25 every time the glass came out of the track. what his problem is the glass has either come out of the track or the piece that connects the motor to the arm is snapped or the arm itself snapped. its good that the motor still works. should be a cheap fix.

After getting the side panel off I saw that the window casing thingy looked too low so i moved it up a bit. I tried to roll the window up then but it just made a clicking sound that I had never heard before. So i pushed on the side of the motor to see if that would make it connect and still nothing. I moved the window casing up some more to the point that I could see the edge of the window. A bit would be sticking above the rubber seal near where an elbow would rest. At that point it did roll up and I was Ecstatic! But before I could start my celebration the arm with all the teeth snapped off !
This is how my trip has pretty much gone. bah~!
So now that I broke it how much you guys think this is gonna run me. fml
