Default Drivetrain noise?

On my '00 Disco I have a squeaking noise that sounds like its coming from the rear. It can be heard as I slow to almost a stop at a light, or pulling into a parking lot. Sounds a bit like a siren, going up and down slightly in pitch, as the truck rolls forward. Of course, it disappears (?) at higher speeds. Not the "chirp" of a front drive shaft about to die, as I replaced that with a Tom Woods and religiously grease it every 3K at the oil changes.

I have about 110K on the front drive shaft, but the rear is original. New rotoflex disk and rebuilt rear diff from Roverlands about 5K ago.

Thoughts perhaps might be the rear U-joint? And if so, how much of a job to change? My local indy shop is great, but backed up due to the holidays and I need the truck. Daily driver.

Thoughts and suggestions welcome. If the rear U Joint, plan to pick up a Spicer with zerk fitting and install.

Thanks to all for your ideas!!

U-joints usually clunk going from R to D or D to R, could be brake pads down to bottom - have you checked pad thickness?

Thanks,
Will check the brakes, no “clunk” hears R-D/D-R, just a faint “European two tone siren” like sound, first heard it turning into a parking lot. Very faint, pitch change higher/faster, lower/ slower.
Got me puzzled, but don’t want to start throwing parts at it to fix. Did that way too much in my earlier days!

Hearing that noise. I’d describe it as an old siren, doesn’t happen very often and it’s quite faint. Thought it was coming from the speakers at first but that’s not the case
