dropped valve cover bolt into engine!!!!

It all depends on how the gasket comes off. Generally speaking, if the engine hasn't been through several started or gone through several heat/cold cycles, more than likely you can reuse the gasket with some care.

FYI, the next time a bolt drops to the oil pan, you can leave it. Once in the oil pan it poses no further danger. It can not be sucked up into the oil pick-up tube.

A little too late since you already removed the intake manifold for nothing.

i pulled the pan today and there it was, i clean the pan up and resealed using the gasket and a shet load of rtv, i also did the valve covers and valley pan today.


hope that doesnt happen again.

Stuff towels in the open engine holes to prevent this.
