E Brake light stuck on (with answer)
Just thought I'd share my recent annoying experience that I had with my Discovery 2 hand brake light staying on.
A little backstory, I put my truck on the lift to change the axle fluids, engine oil, and replace the passenger side engine mount.
After finishing the job I pulled the truck out and the brake light wouldn't turn off.
There are a few things that can cause this as I'm told. It could be the hand brake up(duh), it could be the brake light switch, it could be the brake fluid sensor on the reservoir, or it could be low fluid/low pressure in the system.
None of those appeared to be the issue, so I looked around. When I lifted the truck up on the lift I noticed that the ABS sensor had dislocated from its connection on the rear passenger. I plugged it back in, turn the truck off and on, and now it's gone
Just thought I'd let you know there is another reason the brake light can come on/stay on
