ECU/BCU/cluster mating?
Well, my D2 got really unhappy a while back; died in motion, cranked but wouldn't start, and my mechanic told me it was repeatedly blowing the 30A injector fuse. He and his electricals guy did some harness work, and got it to stop blowing fuses, but it still won't run, and it's not clear if the short or whatever took out the injector drivers... and of course, you can't *just* swap ECUs.
So this leads me to 2 questions:
What actually happens if your ECU's not mated to your BCU? Enough that you could diagnose whether such a problem's been repaired?
And I see, in the Bay, matched (presumably mated) sets of ECU/BCU/cluster... but only for Range Rovers, not for any Landys. Any thoughts on why that might be? If you did swap both, what else would you have to clean up after (on my non-airbag-suspension Disco)?
I did do some searching first, but didn't turn up much.

Is Paul Grant the gent who goes by Spupilup on eBay?
If so, I've already bought stuff from him in the past, quite happily. I will check it out. There aren't any configuration things inside the BCU that would not be configured correctly in such a swap?
I know that ECU's will retrain themselves after such a switch...

Just call one of them or abran and tell em what you got . As in model and SAI .They will fix you up . Do a user search on here. Abran and Paul grant are always on helping people
Does your rig have SAI?
Also pay attention to the order that you go in when hooking up wires on the ecu. Follow the rave
