Thanks Jay for looking into this.

For that cost, I am going to be giving them a call as well.

He said older discovery v8. Are you certain he's not referring to the gems systems? I didn't think the bosche system could use a 'chip's.

UPDATE

I just got off the phone with Oliver

He did confirm that the chip will work on the land rover 4.0 engines and they have done at least 3 in the past.

I also discussed with him the opportunity of doing a group buy.

IF we can get (10) people to sign up and pay $299, the person that set up the group buy would get a free tune.

IF I were to get the interest, collect the money, and set it all up I would take the free tune and reduce everyone's payment to make the deal a little bit sweeter $269.

So...not to steal this away from Jay but, who is interested?

This is because of how Bosch does their ECUs, it was the same with my Mercedes C230. I actually watched the guy do the tuning and it was pretty impressive. He took the ECU off, laid it under a device and then pit a pin onto the pertinent pins, then used some special software to modify certain values. It was pretty cool, but definitely not something that was mass-repeatable.

I will be doing it also. Just gotta get it cleared with the better half. It seems to be the same as the tornado chip from the U.K.

I'm interested but I have to get the go ahead from Boss Lady also.
Can we use PayPal for this?

if I get enough interest for the group buy, yes I will have everyone PayPal me. If not enough interest, I would suggest calling the company for their preferred method of payment

I'm on vacation next week in D.C. to be in a good buddy's Army military retirement ceremony. I might check out Speed Tuning facility since it is 30 minutes north of D.C.
I'll keep you posted.
