Ecu flashing and tuning
Diesel tuning is completely different. Diesels are seriously detuned for the US market due to emissions regs on nitrous oxides. I had an 06 Duramax and I flashed a tune that added 75 hp - could have added more but that was the factory limit that the Allison could stand. Big economy and power improvements available by changing the injection timing and boost on a diesel. If I had a TD5 the first thing I would do would be get the software to flash.
ECU flashing... would be nice if the ECU could be also modified to display on the dash the gear the transmission is running; and to chime once when coolant gets to 215F, twice when reaches 220F, 3 times at 225F... plus other goodies you can come up with... Any programming hacker around ?
I added a led indicator telling when TCC is disengaged
and a coolant thermometer with selectable alarm point.
