Electrical DII Lights Dim when Horn Activated
ok Ive been fiddling around for awhile with an electrical issue... brake light do weird things... now noticed when I push horn at night my lights dim, and also when selecting my fog lights seems one headlight goes out partially lol ... m Ultraguage shows 13.8v charging... I had to replace battery once about a year ago... using an Interstate Battery but don't seem to be having starting issues... well once I did but I attributed that to fiddling around with key and half **** turning it... anyway.. could this be a battery issue and also why Im having these electrical anomalies?

ok checking monday when I have some time! also will be wiring up 4 700FF roof lights so don't want car to die! haha
whats ironic is I do have weird issues occasionally but repeatable... when turning on left signal or fog lights I get three amigos... maybe this is all connected to a ground... my UG shows 13.8-14.xx so I kind of ruled out alternator and artery is 2 years old... maybe the UG doesn't give me what I thought I was getting...

Ok, so I am no expert, but I am reading a book on automotive electrical systems because I need to rewire a knock sensor and diagnose a abs front sensor output low code.
This sounds like a Short to positive right out of the book. The example is a lights dimming during operation of other accessories. Lights dim when there is a drop in voltage. So somehow another load is stealing power and using it to operate. If it were a short to ground I believe that the electricity would return to the battery without operating the light.
I would check the wires and see if they were worn through somewhere.
