Replacement hose
Installed a new alternator... did not notice the bottom of the top radiator hose (elbow) was in contact with the top of the alternator pulley. Took the truck for a test run after installing the alternator. It rubbed the bottom neck of the hose but did not cut it to the point of leaking. It is the original hose. I have 58k miles on my 03' D2.
Question- can I get a elbow locally at a auto store instead of buying and waiting for the whole top set that is sold by the vendors? How thick is the hose inside dimension (diameter)? I don't want to disconnect it if possible.
Thanks

You can use Dayco 70854 and any Advance Auto will have it for about $12. Just cut to fit.

I wish all these sort of cross over parts could be made into a list and made as a on sticky. Its such valuable info to have, especially as these get older
