Default Electrical Gremlin

Just picked up a new to me 2004 Disco. Seems to be running well but I had an “interesting” problem the other day.

I just started the truck after using it throughout the day. Put it in reverse and started to roll down the right hand passenger window. It came down about one inch then I lost power.

No power to the windows no power to the climate control. The red dot on the gear selector was stuck on reverse while I moved to drive, park etc. The truck drove fine headlights directional’ s working.

I stopped 2 minutes later for gas shut the truck off gas door opened fine and all systems normal after I got back in the truck.

Can anyone think of what might cause a problem like this to manifest.

Hmmm. I'd make sure the key didn't partially un-turn itself. I've seen that in other cars.
Otherwise maybe clean your engine ground connections? dunno
