Default emergency plz help answer Question

For some reason (i dont know if someone touched something or what not but...) the lights in the windshield display TC, ABS, and the car with a caution sign. I do not know what this means, but the ABS does not sound good. Can someone please let me know what MIGHT be wrong with it, maybe a certain feature on the car disables those things?
thanks in advance.
- a really worried person

No reason to panic. You have a fault in your vehicles traction/ABS system. Just get it diagnosed by a competent repair facility ASAP.

There is a recall? Is it for the 2000 Discovery Series II, and about how much should it take me back? (money wise) Any certain place i should take the car to get this done? (sorry i'm not a real mechanical person)

Oh, and i have read another forum and they said it's good to do a brake fluid flush, so any idea in which brake fluid is good for the rover?

-thanks in advance.

No, it's not related. A proper diag is needed.

kumbhani123, Please let us know your outcome after you have this issue resolved.

There is a recall?
Yes, there definitely is. Although when I had mine taken care of, err, quick look over, they were instructed to visually check the common ABS components like sensors/t-wheels, also to update the firmware for the ABS ECU. Good luck with your issues, and keep one hand firmly on your wallet if it's not recall related.

We have a 2000 Disco SE7. The ABS, TC and HD light were on. Just needed front brakes. Done.
(per the Land Rover dealership)

We were hoping it wasn't the modulator. It wasn't. Just needed front brakes. (which still was not cheap!)

The recall has nothing to do with checking sensors or software updates. It entails installing reinforcing plates to the ABS modulator. To date, no failures have occurred in the NAS market.
