I actually had a well equipped tool kit to remove the taillight and put the fire out remove the wiring and tape it all up

I suggested removing the **** to completely disconnect the PRND321 and remove it. Darn bezel's super delicate and if you brake off 2 plastic clips the silly thing will move from that day forward. With it just loose and having to shift you could damage the bezel.
