Default Engine Codes

Hey all,

Thanks in advance for the help. I just purchased a rebuilt secondary air pump for my 00 disco cause it sounded like a wet dry vaccuum. I havent installed it yet as there are some engine codes i want to check so I can get everything done at once.

Here are the codes:

P0171
P0130
P0154
P0139
P0455

When I replace the secondary air pump will that turn off some of these codes? Also what does each of these codes indicate I need to fix?

Thanks for the help, just trying to save some $ by fixing things on my own...

This is a pretty good site for land rover OBD-II codes although they don't have all of the ones you've listed.

Land Rover OBD-II Trouble Codes

I'm not sure about the P0154 and the P0455, but the other three all point to the O2 sensor.

Here's the complete list of generics.
TroubleCodes.net- engine & OBD2 Trouble Codes and Technical info & Tool Store.

The first 4 are o2 sensor codes, the last (0455) is EVAP system. Search for P0455. Seems a lot of people have this problem, and there's a ton of info on this site about it.

Thanks for that link Eaglerover, that's a better one than I've always used. It's now added to my bookmarks.

You can also use the RAVE, and the pdf search feature, in a split second it will take you to page and explanation. Also, the Bosch manual can be downloaded in my sig, it covers all codes created by the ECU. The RAVE also has tranny codes, etc.

First, replacing a part will not clear the codes, takes a scanner.
As for your codes, none of them are SAI related, mainly 02 sensors failing and a mass evap leak. You might want to give us a lot more tune up history along with mileage information if you want some help
