Default Engine noise 2000 disco II

I have a 2000 disco II. I am getting a bearing sound from he engine comp. sounds like its coming from something in front by the fans. My dealer had told me about three month ago that a small fan was going bad. And to just wait for it to crap out. He said the part was about 400. Does anyone have a idea what this part or little fan is. Thanks in advance.

J. Ferguson.

i'm assuming he means the condenser fan, pretty stupid for them to say wait until it burns up, seeing as it keeps your truck from over heating.

there are thousand of fans on ebay that will fit in there, it does not have to be a LR part.

I install two 12 inch fans side by side that I got off ebay like three years ago cost me like $50.00 total.

GOOD GOD. These people are amazing. So what would you recommend. Thanks you again for your help. The dealer here is really kind of a mess in the service department. Maybe I should get a independent to do it. Is it hard to do. I am not very mechanical.

then ask run a post looking for some one good in NC, their are people on the forum from around there that could suggest a good mechanic.
if you going to use a mechanic, then he will probably just want to replace what there with the same.
check with Paul Grant he probably has a few.

It's pretty straight forward to do.

Check out the rave land rover manual it has instructions.
