Also, to make sure, the thermostat is the grey one right?
The AC fan is something that was on my list to check, and replace if necessary. At what point will the AC fan engage. What is the best way of test that? I assume I should be able to hook it up the 12v, and it should turn on.
Was it a genuine one in the LR box? I've definitely read more than once on here that people have had aftermarket 180 ones that were actually 190.
It was a Genuine LR in the box.
The t-stat is the grey one. So unless it's faulty out of the box I'm good there.

you can just replace the motor, I had to go flex a lite due to corrosion of my old fan. Could not reuse it.
I'm thinking this might be my case as well, but I won't know until I pull it apart tonight. Which Flex-A-Lite did you end up going with?

I live in Florida where it has been in the low 90's. I have the gray T-stat and replaced the radiator last year. Recently bypassed the t-body plate and changed up my coolant ratio. I ran 50/50 before. Now I run estimated 70/30 distilled/ coolant with Water Wetter and Xerex Oat. My temps:
188- 194F rolling
195- 199F idle at light
50/50 ratio (prior)
194- 199F rolling
194- 210F idle at light
I will change to 50/50 in the Winter.
Not that it will fix your temps just some dialogue... good luck! Sounds like the fans are a good direction. Keep us posted👍🏻

Thank you for this information too!
With the investment that that you made going that extra step is worth it. Although it tests your sanity... sometimes a good flush helps the vehicle and the psyche 😂🍻.
