Engine RPM at 70mph?
Just wanted to ask about what rpm a disco2 with stock tires should be at 70? Mine is at 2500 which is high compared to other V8's I've driven,so I just wanted to ask if thats about right?
Then the other extreme, my 99 D2 with 4:11's and 265/75/16's, runs at 2750 to 2800 RPM's at 70 MPH.
The good side of that is, I have my engine right in the middle of the power curve and so as long as I stay under 70 MPH, I get around 18.2 MPG here is Colorado at 6000 feet.

This made me think of another question,I am installing a 3" lift and 265/75/16 bfg tires this week and soon changing the gears which will affect the rpm and was wondering if anyone has calibrated their speedometer after going with the taller tires? I've changed the speedo gears on the old mechanical driven speedometers to get it accurate but I haven't seen any threads about how to do this for the disco.
