Engine swap?

RE: Engine swap?
Haha
I knew that a direct swap would not be possible, but I am thinking of buying a discovery to use as a "project vehicle" over time to make an extreme off-roader. Basically, I was just wondering if someone who has some hands on knowledge could tell me if there was physically enough space within the engine compartment for a big block setup, assuming everything was ripped out.

RE: Engine swap?
Depends how big the engine is your talking about.. I have heard of a 6.2 GMC diesel been put in before, if that is of any help.
In Brazil they produce a nice 2.7 turbo diesel, the design is based on the Land Rover 300TDI, 2.5 Diesel, and gets good write ups.
Another engine swap is a Nissan 2.7 diesel...
Sorry diesels are more popular over in the UK..
Or, you could go for a nice TVR V8...

RE: Engine swap?
i only heard about it somewhere. ill look on the mopar sit and see if i can find anything.
tried the Mopar ( www.mopar.com ) main page, but i couldnt see the catalouge because my acrobat reader wouldnt work for some reason. ebaymotors seems to be your best bet. or if you're really serious id try your local dodge dealer, im sure they could help you out better than i could.
if you do go through with the project, you best keep us informed.
