You did well.
Don't believe all you read when it comes to accuaacy.

For anyone else looking t get a warranty, buy it while your truck is still in warranty and get it from a dealer.

I'll add to this. That LR extended warranty is worth every damn penny. I bought mine used w/ 40k on it last year and extended the warranty. Here's what the extended warranty covered in the last year alone, w/ labor and parts it's already just about paid for itself w/ 2 years to go:

Door lock actuator, window regulator, ABS sensor, ABS module (that's a big one), front drive shaft replacement, valley panand oil pan gasket replaced for minor leaks.

Best $2700 peace of mind I've ever spent.

Here's my 2 cents in regards to extended warranty.

I have a 2003 LR Disco w/30K miles on it. When I purchased it back in May of 07, it was still under factory warranty- PLUS it was CPO warranty til Setp 2009. The factory warranty expired in Sept. 2007- the CP warranty is good through Sept 2009.

So, I thought I would be covered for any defects.

So I thought. This week I take my truck in to a LR dealer in town (there are 3 in Houston...now). Anyways, I took it in for my 30K service. Additionally, I wanted them to fix the "wiggling" in my front two seats. It wiggles a bit forward and back when you hit the accelerator.

I get a call that afternoon that the technician will have to take out the seats and determine what is causing this. That will be 2 hours of labor + any parts. They also said that LR doesn't cover "seat adjustments" under LR warranty...or CPO warranty. They only do adjustments the 1st year of the vehicle.

So, I was upset and contacted LRNA and filed a complaint. I told LRNA that I saw this issue more of a safety concern then an "adjustment". The LR rep opened a case # and told me he would investigate further. It would take a few days for the investigation. Well, yesterday, I got a call from the LRNA rep and he told me that I would have to pay the intial 2 hours of labor to determine what is causing my seat to "wiggle". If any parts are defective, they would cover those items, but not the intial 2 hours of labor ($115/per hr) for taking out my seats. Additionally, if it is found to be just an adjustment, I would be responsible for those costs too.

$230 for the labor just to know if it can fall under the CPO extended LR warranty

So basically, LRNA CPO warranty sucks....I guess it may come in handy if something major happens, but from my experience so far,I can't speak highly for the LR extended warranty. My guess it my LR extended warranty will expire before something major happens to the truck...then it's all on me.

I know a fellow forum member posted a thread about adjusting and tightening his Disco II seats, but I don't see of a way to get back there.

Oh well, I'll live with the wiggle until I figure out something.
