I'm sure there are people who have paid bookoo bucks for a "name brand" winch that has failed them in the sticks. I suggest traveling w/ a group or a friend. I will anyway.

Or for 3 bills, buy two! Get one for the rear hitch mount.

 

I got the same crap at the beginning of the month when I posted it.

The usual if it doesn't cost a fortune its no good,
"what are you going to do when it breaks down and you cant get parts" ON THE MOON.

If they feel you have to spend a $1000 on a warn or super winch for that moon landing let them.

i heard from a friend that told me that his cousin's girlfriend read "that badlands winch, was made with commie subliminal messaging in bedded in the gear noise. If one does not succumb to the evil ways of communism, it will blow up in your face during the 3rd pull!"
we should start a useful thread with reviews of products, so as not to wade through the hearsay. I had a warn crap out on me. thats why I just purchased this HF winch. It may crap out too. I do not know. I am documenting the performance of the unit and plan to post it, with the hope that someone can use the information, while compiling reviews. I urge you others to do the same. There is a lack of first-hand info. How do I know that information is not coming from some dude, that is just talking smack because they have buyers remorse at the cost of a $1500.00 name attached to there winch?
