Default Failed Emmissions

What a nice preamble to my Disco's problems. It failed emissions today. Evidently they were not able to get the check engine light to activate on the first click of the ignition. They attributed this to a fuse or a bulb. Could someone help me out on ideas? Need to get this thing on the road!

Just got home and to the sheet.

As mentioned, it states, "NO MIL AT KEY-ON-ENGINE-OFF MIL COMMANDED ON." This, evidently, is that the bulb/fuse to the check engine light is burnt out.

4 TROUBLE CODES REPORTED;
P0140 O2 Sensor Circuit No Activity Detected (Bank 1 Sensor 2)
P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
P0305 Cylinder 5 Misfire Detected
P1171

Please help and advise on how I should proceed. Thanks!

so the rejected you because the light does not come on when you turn the key,
un fortunately I believe it is an led and not a bulb.

Is the truck new to you or have you had it a year or more so that you know it passed inspection previously? If it is new to you it may be that a prior owner disabled that light so that problems wouldn't be apparent. If you've had the truck a while and it passed inspection in a prior year it probably is just the bulb that has burned out. It is a somewhat tedious job to pull apart the instrument cluster and repair it but if you want your truck to pass inspection that's what you will need to do. Hopefully a prior owner did not butcher the instrument cluster components.

it wouldnt be unheard of for someone to reach in and break the led, or cover it with black paint or tape to hind the fact that the CEL was on.

Thats for Disco 1. The D1 and D2 clusters are different, with LEDs in the D2 cluster.
