Default Feels like a wheel bearing...

My 03 SE feels like a rear wheel bearing is going out - but I only feel it above 75 MPH. And the dealer isn't allowed to drive over 70. What can I do - warranty is about to expire.

Thats a no brainer, take it to the dealer and have them fix it.

They can't duplicate the problem - they're not allowed to drive that fast.

Can I put the service guy in the truck and go that fast?

Why not! Unless he refuses and says its company policy. However, there's nothing like getting the noise to come out and both of you hearing it. Won't be any doubt in anyone's mind then.
If bad bearing is the case, a worn out seal is not too far behind.

Ask them to write up a warranty ticket, explain in detail what you are hearing and leave it to them. If they don't hear it, have them nention that on the work order. Then go buy a small recorder and tape the noise, go back to the dealer, write another ticket, play the sound and go from there. The whole idea is to start a paper trail so once this part fails, even if you are out of warrant, they will have to honor it.

Aquaholic, First off Discomike is right about the paper trail. Comming from a dealership background (albeit Porsche, Audi, BMW) our service department had tohonor items outside warranty all the time if they had previously looked at it or "tried" to fix it while inside warranty.

On your prior question - they should be okay with being in the car while you drive - I'm surprised they hadn't already suggested it. I would go back state you have a problem and ask if a technician can ride along.
