Fan-Freakin-Tastic!!

My Disco didnt have the heated seat switches. So I found some on EBay along with a new plate. Received them yesterday and in about 10 mins I had heated seats. They work Perfectly. I love it when a plan comes together..

Dang it! Mods, I meant to put this under the D2 section. Please move when you can.

I believe you can delete topic by going to advanced settings, once you chose edit function.

Congrats, on the heated seats...nice winter addition.

I tell people all the time who have D2 leather seats without the heater buttons that they can add the heater buttons for the heated seats to work.

One thing to keep in mind - the heating element in the seats in a DII are known to short and have caused fires.

The element in the driver's seat of my truck shorted and burned a hole in the leather. It also singed my son's jeans before he figured out what was going on. Be alert to hot spots!

I've since replaced the cushion and I use the heater frequently when it's cold, but I turn it off after a few minutes. It's too hot for my taste to leave it on, plus once it's heated up it's no longer needed.

Ive heard of (and seen) this in many vehicles over the years. It actually happened in a 2002 Expedition we had. Burned a hole in the passenger seat. Always something to watch out for....especially as they get older.
