First time off road...
...in my new to me Disco. Its a bone stock 2001 in great shape with 78,000 miles. I am new to Rovers but not off roading, having owned many different flavors of rides. I went to a local spot that I know well. I was impressed with the AWD on dirt roads. If it pushed in the turns, I just gave it more throttle and it pulled right back in line.
I am new to swaybars as well. Everything I have had before I took them off for articulation on trails or overall looseness through a 300 foot mud pit at a high rate of speed.
Getting used to lifting a wheel or two will take time. Looking forward to a lift and bumpers soon. Hopefully before any plastic gets damaged.

Keep those bumpers in good shape and they will help fund your new steel bumpers. i sold my original bumper for $400 to fund my ARB purchase... I've since sold the ARB and went with Tactical Rovers
Thats my thoughts exactly. I have the factory brush guard with the off road lights, and the bumper cover has the fog lights. If I can sell all that and the factory running boards I think I can get a decent bumper and most of a 2" lift.
