sorry should have posted the result sooner. Connected the OBD 2 scanner and got the following codes: P0301, P0304 which comes up as missfire cylinders 1 and 4, so replaced the plugs and the plug wires and all is well, the only other code I got was a P1884 which i sorced as a tranmision error so replaced the the ATF and all seems well. Thank you for all you help and "suggestions"

 

The 1884 is not a tranny fault code but more of a tag along code that attaches to 8 electronic issues, when that issue is resolved the 1884 just goes away.
The good news is your tranny got a service it may not have need.
