Default Flashing interior lights

So my interior lights used to come on just the way they are supposed to - when you open the door. Now they blink and I cant for the life of me figure out why. I read the manual cover to cover - tried replacing the trunk light (it wasnt blinking so I assumed it was out and now just blinks as well.) any help out there?

You are only the second person that I have heard complaining about blinking interior lights. I am going to lean initially towards the alarm system. Is there anything else going on with the truck?
Just to rull out one idea, using you key or the remote slowly over 8 seconds lock and unlock the door three times. This is the general reset procedure for the alarm if it were acting up. Let me know if any thing changes.

My rover was doing that too. It was a loose connection on my battery. I cleaned and tightened the connections and it hasn't done that since. maybe a good place to start. Scott

ok everyone - heres what happened - the front passenger button that reads if the door is open/closed broke - the soder came free from the switch (now I cant find the wire its somewhere in the door where i have yet to figure out how to get to it). When it broke it shorted the fuse. The blinking was the security working and the absense of light was the fuse and broken switch. So now I have to figure out how to fix the switch - either find the wire or try to rerun the wire and I have no idea where it should go - fun being a chick with a clueless boyfriend.

You might try hemostats to get it out. Mine did the same thing, I used ( don't laugh...) chopsticks and a flashlight. Worked like a charm.

I wish that would work - i cant see it with a flash light and I tried a coat hanger with a hooked end - i just cant seem to find it. lol -its funny that I cant figure it out - ill have to see if there is a way to get the interior panel off? This is just about the silliest thing I've ever had wrong with a car.
