So I have a 2004 disco 2 that for suspension has 31s and a 2 in terra firma lift and some terraforms spacers, I’m looking to get maximum flex out of it while still being low though I will lift it more and probably get 33 or 34 in a few years when I have more money but for now focusing on articulation, from my understanding this is what I need:
radius arms, longer break and abs lines, long travel shocks( like bilstein 7100), either panhards or better watts, and maybe links?
is there anything else I need and anyone know where to get everything I know about lucky 8 and rte, thinks in advance trying to put the build together before i start buying and plan to built it over the summer

Castor-corrected front and rear radius arms with Johnny-jointed bushings on the chassis-side of the arms. This should allow for better movement in the travel arc (and twist) without as much binding or resistance that a rubber or polyurethane bushing would cause.

 

Shock shock recommendations for more flex? I've got terrafirma 3 inch kit now.

shocks don't add flex. Stock style arms the most travel you can run is 10-12 in due to binding at the frame side of arms.

 

Wouldn't the shocks' travel be a limiting factor in flex in addition to the bushings?

 

They can be but very unlikely with out the box options available.

 

The radius arm to frame bushing is going to be the flex limiter. I have a 2" lift with +4 shocks and the bushings are what limits my travel. The other issue is nobody makes a spring that is long enough to help push the tire down. Most of the lift springs on the market accomplish the lift by increasing spring rate which will also reduce articulation. I've been wanting the AD4x4 radius arms with johnny joints but the reality is my setup does well enough for the places I go and I don't want to sacrifice any ride quality. If I got much more travel I'd need to switch the front shocks to a different mounting style as the bar type mount on the bottom spring perch is really bound up at full flex.
