Man, that really sucks. I don't know what to tell you now. Mine currently keeps my truck under 190 even with dual large transmission coolers in front of the radiator. Then again, I've also got the inline thermostat. I never even had problems with it with the motorad stat before hand, though.

Best of luck. I really hope you find a solution that works better for you.

The A/C Condenser throws a ton, and I mean a ton of heat. As I was allowing the truck to heat up and the fan wasn't on I had my hand in there and it is remarkable. Without the a/c on the fan is adequate. I am going to keep the Taurus fan, and in the future, maybe I will try to fit 2 somehow. The shroud leaves 6 Inches of uncovered radiator which is really significant.

Also, I may try to put in an LS1 or LT1 if I find one at a junkyard. It's not a hard thing to do. That would definitely involve the inline thermo mod.

So I was considering a Dodge stratus dual fan set up with two 12" fans, but looking around I found a Pontiac GTO LS1 fan for a 5.7 Liter that looks like it may fit really well. The radiator is just slightly larger than the D2. I am waiting for dimensions, but will purchase ans see how it goes.

Those GTOs had small radiators similar to the Taurus, so I bet that GTO fan is designed to pull a lot of air. That might be the trick right there.

I think I found one for $50 and will get a controller through Summitt they have great customer service.

I mean, I am skeptical, and it is a little wide, but I think with trimming it will go. The big plus is that it will cover a much larger amount of the radiator. The stock fan is back and the shroud pulls air from the entire core. That has to make a huge difference.

I would definitely think so. Definitely update with what you do to it to make it work with the radiator. If this works out this could be the best option anyone has come up with yet.

Went to the junk yard yesterday on my lunch break. I saw this 4.6 P38 sitting there. We all know they built the RR better than the Disco. Seems like they were on to something here.

Our AC driers may be in the way of this set up. I wonder if you could move the drier forward enough to get the fan under it? Interesting how much bigger the condenser is on these trucks. Also how much larger it's fins are. With a HD fan clutch and two cage style pushers...maybe that would solve the issue with the added AC temps?

The problem is when you go and turn on the A/C. it will jack the operating temp up almost every time when its hotter than Haydes outside. I thought the tstat mod would help with that but the radiator is too damn small and the condenser doesn't do anything but blow a little bit of hot air to further increase the temp under the hood.

The stock radiator is set-up to hold the 2 coolers, so the fabrication/trial/error would be somewhat extensive for such a small modification such as retro-fitting an entirely different radiator. If I had the time and space I would be the first to figure it out and make the corner-stone write-up to solve everyone's problem.

I may end up wiring another fan next to the 14" Flex a lite I put in for the A/C Fan.

I wonder if an Eastwood triflow Radiator would help. I am not going that route at this time, but kind of wish I had tried.
