It doesn't have to be a dealer.

If you know anyone with a NanoCom, Hawkeye, Lynx, Faultmate, etc... they can enable the setting in the BCU.

For connectors to connect to the factory fog lamp connectors, so that you can just plug-in your brush guard lamps, there are two types.

If your D2 is a pre-facelift model, you will need these connectors -

AMP Econoseal III 070 2-way female connectors

2 Way Female Econoseal Electrical Wiring Multi Connector - Genuine AMP Product | eBay

If your D2 is a facelift model, you will need these connectors -

H11 sealed 2-way male connectors

2X H8 H9 H11 880 Male Connectors Connector HID Free Ships from USA | eBay

That is exactly what he is saying. That's interesting. I'm about to add fog lights to the G/F sonata. Completely wired supposedly. Just change the multifunction switch, add fog lamps and turn them on.

Paul,

Are you saying that a US Spec 2000 Discovery II can have the BCU reprogrammed to allow the fog lights to be operational with the headlights on High and Low beam?

It's an option on UK spec vehicles - mine is set to allow front fog lights with main beam, as I like to use the front fog lights as foreground/hedge/ditch illumination in the unlit narrow country lanes where I live.

There are also country/market settings in the BCU, which change some of the available options; so, I couldn't say for sure if the option is available on US spec vehicles.

The only way to be certain, would be to use NanoCom, Hawkeye, etc... to interrogate the BCU settings and the available options.

Thanks Paul... I'll check into it. I'd like to be able to do the same thing here with my driving lights...
