Front HUB Assembly and brake issues
Thanks for the help. I am going to change out the caliper this weekend and throw some new pads on.

I do have the three amigos on but they have been on for a while. I am just too cheap to pay the dealership to diagnose the problem. I had the modulator replaced and they were off for 6 months and then came back. Not sure if it is just a bad sensor.
Again, thanks for all the help. This forum has saved me so much money with my Disco.

if you are interested in joining our club we have an amigo we rent out to members. see the link in my sig. cheers
actually you being cheap could have cost you the truck. the abs light will tell you that the air gap is too large and the wheel bearing is the problem.
how about putting the car on jack stands and checking the hubs for play.
if they are bad they will have lots of up and down and side to side play. you will see them move separately from everything else.

I think he meant wheel bearings go bad = grinding, heat build up, and eventually a locked up hub leading to a possibly very bad outcome.
I know what he meant. He was busting a newbie's ***** which seems to be a hobby for some here. It's not that kind of forum.
Keep in mind though that he is a certified LR tech and works at a dealership.
