Default Front Swaybar Link replacement

My Disco 2 has a loud knocking coming from the front suspension when going over rough terrain, which I'm pretty sure is from worn swaybar links. I've ordered a new set but can't seem to find directions on how to remove them in the rave manual, they are mentioned a lot in the process of fixing other things but I can't find any information for replacing them on their own. Is it easiest just to do this with all 4 wheels on the ground to keep the suspension compressed? How tough of a job is it to get access into that area with a wrench with a 3" OME lift?

Let us know if it solves your problem or not.

As far as reaching with that lift it also depends on how large your tires are you're reaching around. If it was me I'd just take each wheel off and do them one at a time.

I'm pretty sure they are 18mm nuts. Just use a socket on the nuts and use an open end 18mm wrench to hold in place just above the dust boots. I may be wrong on the size but I'm pretty sure that's it.

Will do. Hoping the parts come in tomorrow so I can get everything installed before the weekend.

Just an update, replaced the sway bar links yesterday and took it out to the local off-road park (Hollister Hills) to test everything out. The knocking noise completely went away so it seems worn (and partially loose) links were the culprit. Was able to do the whole install without removing the wheels, mostly because I don't have a socket big enough for those giant lug but covers. Now just need my CDL kit that I ordered from lucky8 a month ago...

Pull the links before entering the off-road park. It'll be a totally new experience plus, it will prolong the life if the links.

My front links are knocking just like yours. I need new ones. Where did you order from? Did you get adjustables/quick disconnects?

I just ordered a generic set from ebay for $39 shipped. They are quite a bit heavier built than the OEM ones, although not as beefy as the SlickRock ones.

The slickrock ones are only that size because they are made to be disconnected, as well as their heigh adjusted.
