Default Fuel Injector Removal

I am replacing all the o-rings on my injectors. Is there a trick to get the injectors out of the fuel rail? It seems to be the o-ring holding it in there.

Thank you,
Willie

why are you replacing the orings? They don't need replacing at all.

They just get sort of bound in with age. Just really have to pull.
Be prepared to need a new fuel rail. When I did the one's on my Disco the cups in the rail had corroded and I couldn't get a good seal with new o-rings. Petrol spewing all over the engine isn't a good feeling.
If they aren't leaking, I'd leave well enough alone.

The service manual said to change the o-rings when removing the injectors. The head gasket kit I bought came with 16 injector o-rings. It was not leaking so I will leave them in the fuel rail and just change the manifold side. I wonder what land rover would want for a new fuel rail? Probably more then my rover is worth.

I got mine on sale for $89 and TNLR. I think the regular price is around $120 or something.

The head gasket kits come with a bunch of odds and ends that you would only use if you were completely rebuilding the top end. I would not replace your FI o'rings unless they are leaking.
