Default fuel pump no power

2-3 weeks ago had cranking wont start, replaced CPS, and bench tested the fuel pump, started.
So ordered new pump (pump only) replaced, wont start, like there is no power to the pump. Pressed kill switch, switched yellow relay from one to another, nothing. gave up for today, planning to trace the wire harness from pump to wherever it goes, but should replace CPS again?
Please help.....

RAVE electrical troubleshooting manual and circuit diagrams will be your friend. Here is one page that covers most of that. The manuals also have pictures and diagrams of connectors, pin outs, etc. The ECU turns on the main relay, which also is controlled by the inertia switch. The main relay enables the fuel pump relay, which is switched on or off by the ECU. Seems like it won't let you run pump for more than maybe three seconds if engine is not running. The cranking relay is controlled by the BCU, so it can invoke immobilization when ever it feels threatened.

Any codes?

Also look at these. Fuel pump will run when truck turned on, but only for a few seconds if cranking has not been achieved. So by the time you switch on and get back there, it may be done. Also shows codes you will get for cam position sensor. Sensor must be installed within 1 - 2 mm spec, so a snarfy install could render it useless.

rovernoy -

Might be better if you start a new thread.

Rock Auto Parts

see https://landroverforums.com/forum/ge...ght=water+pump for why you want another pump, it will start to wobble and leak.
