I get gas once I hit about the 3/4 mark and then fill it, alot easier on the wallet.

Ended up walking 2 blocks to Costco to find out they don't sell gas tanks then back to another gas station to pay $10 for a one gallon tank. Well because the Rover was on a slight incline the one gallon I put in it wasn't enough to start it. Another trip to the gas station for one more gallon of gas before putting $70 dollars worth in it at Costco. Learned an important lesson that if the yellow light comes on pull into the next station and feed her.
I tried to push my car to the spot where the street was down hill to try to make it to the gas station but police didn't let me go any further. RUn to the gas station and bought a one gallon canistor for 7 dollers, didn't want to pay 3 more for the 2 gallon one and when I put that in the car, the car did not want to start. It was so cold that I did not want to run to the gas station again and come back, especially not knowing if another gallon will help. So I called a friend who was kind enough to bring some more gas after which the car started.

I dont know how much you drive each week, but for me it equates to about once a week I'm getting gas, if we are on a trip I get gas at about the 1/2 tank mark, just a hell of alot cheaper that way.
Plus on long trips it gives me a chance to stretch my legs.

I fill up at 1/4 tank now which is about once a week. What I would do for a diesel or even $2 gas these days.

Sure you may be there everyday, but it only takes 2 min to fill the tank from 3/4.

Do you have a Shell Saver Card? Its free. It saves you $.02 per gal on gas.
