Fuse #2 keeps blowing....

Made some progress.... Unplugged the ECM and started to look for ground. Removed the first plug near the fuse pannel under the hood and tested the brn and pnk wire. No ground. Proceeded to the next region C0449 and turns out this is the wire causing the dead short. Chased it into the fat narness running allong the top of the firewall....
So where does this wire run from here. Is it for the o2 sensors ??? If so where is the spice point where the wire tuns into four ???
Anyone have any speculations of where to start searching??

Splices section of RAVE shows that the 4 way split is 300 millimeters of wire from left front O2 sensor, others are further away. Front O2's have kinda square orange looking plugs at rear of each exhaust manifold, a good place to have a melted wire. Back O2s connectors on top of transfer case. The schematic does show that C0449 runs to the four O2s. It is just like an old Shell road map (I can recall before GPS, and the maps were free...).

Followed the pink and brown wire in the cluster until the T juction. This is where the right bank wiring runs down. When there I figured out that the right bank pre and after cat o2 sensor looped back from the left side. So with my continutity tester buzzing I cut one of the two wires, not that one. Then the next...... SILENCE!!!!
So one of the wires on the o2 right back is the culprit. Will get the car back on the hoist tomorow and check the other side of the wiring to determine which is the one and run new wire from the splice to the o2 sensor.
Thanks to everyone who helped. Keep in mind sometimes it can be the stupidist things which cause so much grief with vehicles. Keep you nose to the grind stone, you will find the problem with time and help from your friends here on LRforums.

Reviving this post, I am currently experiencing this exact same problem. Replaced the MAF thinking that was the issue but alas after checking the fuse *which I should have done in the first place* it was blown and blew immediately after replacing it. After reading this entire section which was a HUGE help I think I have narrowed my issue down to some bad wires on one of my O2 sensors. Which I thought I had repaired already as they got caught in my driveshaft after the retainer clip broke and not only pulled the wires but melted the plug end. I was able to replace the plug end with one I found on Amazon but I believe that due to the damage caused by the drive shaft there may be more damage further up that O2 wiring section. I will post again after I get the rover up on the hoist and have the wires checked again for damage. Thanks to the OP and those who replied to him as this information was extremely helpful in having a starting point to tracing the problem on my vehicle.
