I bought the Allmakes cap as well and can confirm the screw hole was too small -- very frustrating! But I just drilled out the hole and made it work... took about fifteen minutes. Kind of a pain in the rear but I didn't feel like going through the hassle of a return and shipping a new part.

The cap fit great and made my code go away.

 

I had to replace original gas cap on my 03 a few years ago. I bought the Stant from my local NAPA and it worked like a charm, except for the lack of a tether. Wanting the tether back, I bought the Allmakes cap a few weeks ago, but every time I drove with the Allmakes cap, I could smell gas inside the cabin. After a week, I switched back to the Stant and the gas odor went away. I'd rather have no tether than an explosion!
