ok great tips guys,

The rave calls for the drive shaft nut to be taken off, however in the next step shows the shaft being pulled out with the hub. Taking off the nut makes sense if you are doing a complete dissasembly, but since im only replacing the O-ring do I need to take that nut off or can it stay on? I am asking because I need to know if I have to order the replacement nut.

also, how much differencial oil will I need?

Rear diff is about 3.6 pints, cheap to buy a gallon jug and parts stores sell a nifty pump that screws into the jug.
