This is the new style.
Thanks. I'll try and figure out why catalog is showing me the same part for the different part numbers.

god know none of the other sponsor have ever posted incorrect information. never mind a superseded number.

i also noticed that you sell new complete front cover assembly's for $350, which is a great price as every one else gets seems to get $450-600 for them at that price it makes it worth replacing during a build.

Spoke with my catalog guys and they're going to get it implemented into the system shortly. In the meantime, I manually uploaded it to my site. Unfortunately, it's only available right now by searching for the part number: XKB500120

Land Rover Discovery brake light switch, XKB500120

So - back to the brake light switch pricing question.

AutoZone still sells it for 12.99. Both come with the harness. At AB the harness alone is 54.95! Harness and switch goes for $69.95.

AutoZone's supplier is Wells Vehicle Electronics. I spoke with the tech rep there to verify the harness is included - which he did - and he also said that his part is pure OEM - in fact they purchase it from LandRover - then pass it along to AZ. How AZ sells at that price point is anyone's guess.

I called AB to enquire about their "Guaranteed Price Match" policy - but in spite of the guarantee (and a promised 5% additional off the matched price!!!) the rep there said NFW we're gonna match that price. Way below their cost.

With a debt to Major General Smedley Darlington Butler we might say that "Car parts are a racket!" :-)

I've bought several from Auto Zone and the part says "Land Rover" all over the brake switch and harness. AB is great for some parts, but other then that I'll use Lucky8, or buy stuff off of Ebay.
